The Flight Crew is thrown a curve ball!
The patient is obtunded & has dry mucous membranes. The flight crew recognizes how sick the patient is & appreciates the need for definitive care. They load the patient with a plan to start an IV & initiate interventions in route to the hospital. Once the helicopter takes off, the patient suddenly becomes combative & attempts to break out the side window of the aircraft.
